The candidate will need to be natural visual thinkers, ready to expand on their skills and learn from senior art directors. They will be responsible for creating visual concepts in response to clients’ briefs. This work involves all media platforms, including:
- Marketing materials
- Press and print advertising
- Television and film
- Logos and branding
- Websites, mobile apps and emails
Communication skills are crucial to this role.
Junior Art directors must be able to listen to and speak with staff and clients to ensure that they understand employees’ ideas and clients’ desires for advertisements, publications, or movie sets.
We envisage the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Leadership skills
- Strong Time-management skills
The candidate will need to be natural visual thinkers, ready to expand on their skills and learn from senior art directors.
They will work with a junior copywriter to develop ideas and concepts, the job demands the confidence to creatively assertive ideas and the passion to sell ideas. They will also have some responsibility to develop the design offering of the agency.
The BCE Apprenticeship is a full-time Level 3 and Level 4 course that combines creative industry employment with off the job training that includes online, tutorials and masterclasses. It is open to people above the age of 16 who want to pursue a career in Digital Marketing, Creative Media and Live Events.
BCE apprenticeships are a minimum of 15 months.
Over 80% of BCE apprentices have progressed into full-time industry jobs in the creative sector with the majority retained by their apprenticeship employer.
