The Weird & The Wonderful is a multi-disciplinary music and entertainment company,working in artist management and talent consultancy. We run He.She.They., spreading inclusivity and diversity through music, events, fashion and more.We are currently lookingfor an Administration Assistant to join us in managing a varied range of musicians,producers and DJs. We are a growing company looking for people to grow with us, and we offer a fun and creative environment for the right person to cultivate their skills and gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the music industry. We are looking for someone who is proactive and self-motivated, who is able to work independently and intuitively. Impeccable socials skills and awareness should allow the candidate to be empathetic and discreet when working. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in electronic music,and be engaged with the London dance music scene. An open mind and an awareness of theLGBTQIA+ scene and culture are essential.The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong multi-tasking and time management abilities, who is able to stay organised across a number of projects and tasks.Creativity,enthusiasm and innovative skills must combine witha strong understanding of social media and other online platforms to be able to independently manage and maintain a strong online presence for artists and the core management profiles.

Main Description
This apprenticeship combines creative industry employment 5 days a week for 12+ months.There will be remote learning for several hours a week & 2 days a month masterclass in L3 Event Management

We are a growing company looking for people to grow with us, and we offer a fun and creative environment for the right person to cultivate their skills and gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the music and events industry

The role involves managing all aspects of production before, during and post event, as well as more general brand management.The ideal candidate will be outgoing and independent, with strong people skills and the ability to think critically to solve problems on the spot. Candidates should have the organizational skills to be able to stay on top of various different projects at the same time. The nature of our events often require working weekends and out of office hours and candidates must be prepared to be up and around for long hours around events.The role may involve travel around the UK and Europe

Tasks

Suggesting line ups

Going out for avails and getting feedback

Liaising with agencies

Ensuring FB and RA events are up to date with lineups, images & descriptions-Researching travel arrangements

Liaising with hosts to collect press shots and invoices and providing them withcorrect information

Liaising with artists/agents for social support-Staying on top of artworkversions and chasing necessary assets

Ensuring invoices are paid

Collecting guestlist names

Liaising with Photographers and Videographers

Sending photos to artist post-event for approval /removing non approved photos

Sending photos to hosts post-event

Maintaining One Pager & Press documents

Website updates

On the Night

Being there before the event to set up production–lightboxes, posters-Making sure artists are well looked after eg with Riders, backstage area-Liaising withstaff and crew (Sound tech, photographer etc)-Coordinating hosts to have Peak time impact

Entry requirements
Min GCSE ‘C’s in Maths & English

Skills Required
